Here I am tapping the six holes.   The plans say “1/4 20NC”.  This is an American way of writing UNC.  20 threads per inch.   We work in metric here, and its sometimes tricky to get things in imperial measurements.  So I had intended to use M6 instead.  However, when I went to the stores, they told me they can get the required bolts in A4 stainless as needed, so I stuck to the plans and tapped them 1/4 UNC.   The kitchen table was convenient for cramping the port down!
