I first thought that I would use the old distorted mould to fire up some bbq coals and cook the lead on that in a load of saucepans.  It wasn't hot enough by any means.  I changed the fuel to coal but it was still a disaster, so I gave up on this idea.  I seem to be doing everything twice at the moment.
