Through Hulls |
This is the 1/4” through hull for the depth gauges. I had forgotten to add this through hull while I was making all the others so i was forced to weld it on out of position. I tried to put it somewhere that would be easiest for welding. I chose the forward encap, about 3/4 of the way down. I drilled a 14mm hole so it was a tight fit. This meant no gap at all which makes for an easier weld. The pictures are very dingy, but I set my foot throttle proped up on a piece of wood (top picture, bottom right) so I could still operate it whilst lying on my back. Very awkward and the inside was even worse. I couldnt use the throttle at all so I just ran it on 110 amps. Turned out pretty good in the end but it was quite tricky. |
