Second method.  I welded some spigots to a large stainless saucepan and re located the handle to the bottom.  This holds the entire contents of the mould so as it was very heavy I made a gantry to hold it.

I used a propane paella burner (from my Spanish Sister in Law) and heated up the lead with this.  Started off ok.
