Deck

I bought lengths of 2” grooved teak to make the deck.  This was expensive, and definitly not really needed, but I think it needs to look good.  It is probably unwise to have a flammable material inside the hull but I am taking the risk.  In order to try to minimise this risk, I will coat the wood with a special fire retardant coating.

The deck will be made in a series of five boards.  This is so they can fit in through the main hatch and also so I can lift them up easily to get underneath, even if dived.  Obviously I made a cardboard template and cut the teak to fit.  I Have transfered the cardboard templates to a piece of plywood which the teak strips will be stuck to.

This all came from the UK as the local shop couldn’t get it.  As such, I’ve stupidly only ordered as much as I need, so I have NO room for error.  I am going to have to be careful not to make a single mistake.  With my current record of seemingly doing everything twice, this seems unlikely.
